Moods Are Light on Black Friday

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Black Friday Specials are bringing people out in their pajamas to get that bargain price as holiday shopping gets into full swing today. Many businesses in The South Shore Mall opened early to get people out of the rain  JC Penny’s employee Laurie McDowell, said “we started opening the doors about three thirty, we had hot cider and coffee outside of the store in the mall here, so people didn’t have to stand in the rain.” McDowell said the store was very busy, and that people have been in a good mood “we were so busy that first hour that we couldn’t move from the registers, people have been great all day, everybody’s getting into the mood for Christmas.”

New faces may also notice new stores; The Incense Booth in the former KITS Camera location, the Hickory Farms store is open again, Kowai Ethnic Designs, The Gregorian Group, and the new HodgePodge re-store.

Opening at 7 this morning, Dennis Company had a packed parking lot on the SouthSide of Aberdeen. One customer said they had lines at both doors backed up into the parking lot.
