HOQUIAM, Wash. – A traffic delay that will be experienced in Hoquiam at about 12:00 PM (Noon) on Monday October 11, 2010. Although the Hoquiam Police Department tells us could be a little later than noon.
Two trucks with trailers carrying loads of 170’ pilings for Terminal 3 at the Port of Grays Harbor in Hoquiam with travel through the Simpson Ave Bridge detour on Monday. Traffic along the entire traffic revision in Hoquiam will be stopped completely while the trucks traverse Sumner Avenue from the merge point, along Riverside Avenue and across the Riverside Bridge.
Once the trucks leave the bridge they will use Lincoln Street to Highway 101 and turn onto the 109 Spur. They will then use State Route 109 to Paulson Road and out to Terminal 3.
The trucks are traveling on permits issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation and because of the size of the loads they must travel between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
At this time, it is anticipated traffic will only be stopped for as long as it takes the trucks to exit the Riverside Bridge to Lincoln Street (Highway 101).
