Pacific County Investigation Turns Into Federal Arrest
RAYMOND, Wash. – On July 7th, 2010, PACNET deputies served a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of Krause Road, Raymond, WA. The warrant was the culmination of an investigation in to the manufacturing of marijuana. George A. Shipman, age 63, of Raymond WA. was arrested and booked in to Pacific County Jail for three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
At the request of the Sheriff’s Office, the case was reviewed by the United States Attorney’s Office. As a result they assumed jurisdiction and issued a federal arrest warrant for Shipman.
On 8-08-10, PACNET assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigations in the service of the arrest warrant. Mr. Shipman was taken in to federal custody without incident.
Pacific County Sheriff John Didion said, “This operation is another excellent example of teamwork enhancing public safety. Working with our communities PACNET has consistently identified and arrested those who would do us harm. This case, initially developed at the local level, rose to involve Federal Law Enforcement as well.
