UPDATE: Aberdeen man found shot could be involved in Elma investigation
UPDATE: Police say they now believe a man found on Simpson Avenue with a gunshot wound last weekend was involved in an Elma shooting, and was not shot in Aberdeen. The 29 year old told police last weekend that he was walking on Simpson Avenue when he heard a pop sound and found that he was shot. Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Deputies are currently investigating a shooting incident in Elma earlier that day.
Police are investigating after a man was apparently shot while walking on Simpson avenue Saturday morning. Det. Weiss tells us they were called just before 6 Saturday morning. A 29 year old Aberdeen man said that while he was walking in the 2000 block of Simpson, near the 7-11, he heard a “pop” sound and realized that he had been shot. The man did not report seeing anyone in the area, he was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Weiss at the Aberdeen Police Department (360) 533-3180 or the Tip-Line at (360) 538-4450.
