County amends code to allow larger buildings without permit

Grays Harbor County residents can now build larger outbuildings thanks to an amendment adopted yesterday that eases restrictions from 200 to 800 square foot single story buildings before needing a permit.
Public comment included rural property owners looking to build larger sheds. Commissioners Frank Gordon and Herb Welch expressed concerns; Gordon over their ability to assess properties, and Welch over project planning. The commissioners adopted the amendment, with plans to ‘amend the amendments’ later on.
