Grays Harbor College “Continuing Ed-venture” to explore Pacific County history

Pacific County Courthouse

Come along on the next EDventure presented by Grays Harbor College Continuing Education January 25th, 9 am to 4:30 pm; to Raymond and South Bend, Washington.  Join us as we look up at the Historic Pacific County Courthouse Rotunda, Pacific County Historical Society, climb in a Wagon at the Northwest Carriage Museum, and enjoy the view from behind the Helm of the Vansee at the Willapa Seaport Museum.

Steve Rogers, Pacific County Commissioner & Pacific County Historical Society President, will be starting off the tour.  We will be visiting the original Courthouse location, watching a slideshow presentation of the construction, touring the historic structure and beautiful grounds.  Just a few blocks below is the Pacific County Historical Society; which houses wonderful displays and artifacts of local significance.  The venture continues back to Raymond’s Northwest Carriage Museum.  Sit in some of the finest collections of 19th century carriages, buggys, and wagons.  The Willapa Seaport Museum is right around the corner, chalked full of maritime treasures and nautical stories shared by Captain Pete.  Participants will be returned to Riverview Education Center and Main Campus locations.

Space is limited so register today at any of the Grays Harbor College locations.  For further information, please contact Bethany Oszman at 360.533.9733 or [email protected] (Whiteside Continuing Education Center) or Carol Staricka at 360.875.9466 ext. 1 or [email protected] (Riverview Education Center, Raymond).
