Homeless woman robbed at knifepoint in Aberdeen

A homeless woman that was sheltering under the Chehalis River Bridge in Aberdeen was robbed of her sleeping bag and pillow over the weekend. Police Captain John Green tells us they received the report of a verbal argument in the area around 9:30 Saturday.
The 44 year old transient woman was found inside an alcove of a building, she said she had been approached by a Hispanic male who demanded her sleeping bag. After displaying a knife, he took her sleeping bag and pillow and fled on foot.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, in his 40′s to early 50′s, 5-06, over 200 pounds last seen wearing dark baseball cap, brown jacket, black shoes.

Officers checked the surrounding area and recovered the victims sleeping bag and pillow.

The suspect was not located, the investigation is continuing.
