Aberdeen police investigate Christmas Day knifepoint robbery

ABERDEEN, Waash. – Police are investigating a Christmas Day robbery at knifepoint on the Chehalis River Bridge in Aberdeen. Police Captain John Green tells us around 7:20 Wednesday evening a man was walking North on the Eastside of the bridge when two males approached him, demanded money and displayed the knife. One was described as heavy-set 6′ about 55 years old. the other as thinner, about 5’9″ also about 55 years old.
A k-9 unit failed to track them, Green reports they fled with the victim’s wallet toward Southside Swanson’s store. Green said the investigation continues.
