Christmas Eve adoption saves family plans
OCEAN SHORES, Wash. – A North Beach resident was able to play a pretty big part in one family’s celebration of the holidays, after an overnight tragedy sent them looking for a last minute puppy replacement.
North Beach Paws reports on Christmas Eve they received a call from local dispatchers that a Christmas Miracle was needed. A mother and grandmother had lost her K-9 companion of 14 years and the family planning to surprise her with a new puppy woke to find the puppy had passed away overnight.
One of two Pugs being fostered by North Beach PAWS staff was later reported to be a perfect fit, and mutual love at first sight. Maggie the Pug was adopted from Harbor Rescue, and saved Christmas in time for one family. Her brother Max was adopted on Saturday.
