Credit: Lindsey ByrnesRixton kicked off their first U.S. headlining tour July 30 in Boston, and the British band says they’re already overwhelmed by how vocal their fans are. Specifically, the members of the audience are practically breaking the sound barrier with their screams every night.
“It was just insane,” lead singer Jake Roche tells ABC News Radio of the fan noise during their kickoff concert. “It just blew us away, like, it was just so surreal! Like, it’s our first headline tour and apparently, [the screams were] 120 decibels.” “Which is the equivalent of a jet engine,” adds drummer Lewi Morgan.
“It was just really overwhelming,” adds Jake. “And the most fun we’ve ever had!”
But Rixton’s live concerts aren’t just an opportunity for teenage girls to scream themselves silly: showing fans a good time is the first order of business.
