Neil Diamond Releasing New Career-Spanning Compilation on Tuesday

Capitol/UMeA new Neil Diamond compilation titled All-Time Greatest Hits will be released this Tuesday, July 8. The 23-track album is a comprehensive retrospective featuring classic tunes from all periods of the acclaimed singer/songwriter’s career.

All-Time Greatest Hits will be the first release since the signed a deal with Capitol Records that also brings together the recordings he made with the Columbia, Uni/MCA and Bang labels. Among the many memorable tunes featured on the album are “Cherry, Cherry,” “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Sweet Caroline,” “I Am…I Said,” “Holly Holy,” “Song Sung Blue,” “Love on the Rocks,” “Hello Again” and “America.” The collection also includes a rare solo version of “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” his chart-topping 1979 duet with Barbra Streisand.

Diamond also is preparing a new studio album that’s due out later this year. The record will be his first collection of new original songs since 2008′s Home Before Dark and his first release on Capitol Records since the 1980 soundtrack to The Jazz Singer.
