Michael Becker/FOXAmerican Idol isn’t so rosy anymore. Majesty Rose, a 22-year-old from Goldsboro, North Carolina, was eliminated on Thursday night’s results show.
Majesty had fallen into the bottom three with Sam Woolf and C.J. Harris. In an attempt to earn the judges’ save, she sang Pharrell Williams‘ “Happy,” which she previously performed during “Rush Week.” However, Keith Urban told her that he, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. decided by a “narrow, narrow margin” to not use their save on her.
Also during the half-hour results show, musical guest Janelle Monáe performed “What Is Love,” from the Rio 2 soundtrack.
The top eight will take the stage next Wednesday night on Fox.
