Log truck loses load on Hoquiam industrial route

A semi truck lost it’s load of logs on the Hoquiam industrial route this morning, Hoquiam Sgt. Bryan Dayton tells us a 42-year-old Rochester man lost the load off his log truck when he was negotiating the turn onto airport way from Willis Enterprises. Dayton said “it appears he had an equipment malfunction on the trailer and is the reason of the collision at this time.”

The Washington State Patrol is investigating at the intersection of South Adams street and Airport Way, the truck’s logs are alongside the roadway.

Search warrant on familiar home nets two arrests in Aberdeen

Drug Task Force agents served a search warrant on a familiar home in the 700 block of West First street in Aberdeen Tuesday morning.
Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Dave Pimentel tells us the multi-agency task force detained 11 people total, two were arrested on various charges. Pimentel said the investigation is ongoing.
Five people were arrested at the same home in April after a tip was submitted to the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office that drug activity was occurring there.

Montesano wreck sends one to hospital

A Wreck on State Route 12 yesterday sent a Hoquiam woman to the hospital. The Washington State Patrol reports a 98 Toyota Corolla turning onto the Monte Brady Road collided with an oncoming 2011 Toyota Tacoma truck just before 6 Tuesday evening.
The 79 year old Hoquiam woman was a passenger in the Corolla, she was transported to Summit Pacific Hospital with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the Corolla, a 58 year old Elma woman, was cited for failure to yield. The driver of the truck, a 23 year old Elma woman, was not injured.
