CHESAW, Wash. – Two Chesaw men have been arrested in connection with the September shooting death of Hoquiam hunter Michael Carrigan.
Okanogan County Undersheriff Joe Somday said 27 year old Adam Shaun Jennings, and 57 year old John Wayne Jennings were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree murder, the younger Jennings also was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm. His father was arrested on suspicion of delivery of a firearm to an ineligible person.
Fivety-two year old Carrigan died September second, his hunting partner told deputies that when Carrigan walked into a field to shoot at a grouse, he heard a shot from a different direction then saw Carrigan turn around bloodied and fall to the ground. An autopsy determined he died of a gunshot wound to the back.
As of mid-afternoon Tuesday, law enforcement officers were still on the scene executing a search warrant on the Jennings property and home, Somday said.
