Car pins motorcycle in Aberdeen, rider uninjured

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Just after noon on Friday Aberdeen police were dispatch to a vehicle versus motor cycle blocking collision in the 400 block of S. Boone.

The driver of the 2001 AMF motorcycle driven by a 53 year old female from Tacoma was making a right turn onto Boone Street from the Blue Beacon Restaurant parking lot. The operator felt the rear of her motorcycle being struck and jumped off. The driver of the 2012 Kia Soul driven by a 53 year old SeaTac women was making a right turn from the Blue Beacon Restaurant parking lot onto Boone Street. The driver stated she did not see the motorcycle in front of her and ran over the motorcycle. The motorcycle was pinned under the Kia on Boone Street blocking the roadway.

Aberdeen Fire Department responded to assist in the clean-up of a small gas/oil spill.
A tow truck responded as the Kia had to be lifted to remove the motorcycle from underneath it.
There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
