Fire claims vacant home in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Secure your vacant building, that’s the lesson the Aberdeen fire department hopes is taken from a fire early Sunday morning that destroyed an empty home in the 300 block of North E Street. Batallion Chief Troy Palmer tells us the fire was fully involved when they arrived around 4 a.m. Sunday. Once they knew the home was vacant, the two-alarm fire was contained within about 30 minutes. Palmer said the home is a complete loss, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
