Coast Guard responds, 4 already rescued from Grays Harbor waters by passing boat

GRAYS HARBOR, WASH. – The Coast Guard says they dispatched a helicopter and a boat after learning of a mayday call about four people in the water about 12 miles west of Grays Harbor, Wash., but a passing boat managed to rescue all four.

The four were taken aboard the vessel Carmelita on Monday. All had been wearing life jackets, it was not known how they ended up in the water.

Coast Guard Petty Officer Zac Crawford in Seattle says his agency sent the helicopter and boat but “it was all taken care off” so they returned to their stations.
