Dance Club of Grays Harbor tiptoes through gold medals

HOQUIAM, Wash. – The Dance Club of Grays Harbor attended the Puget Sound Senior Ballroom Dance Games in Olympia over the past weekend. In the Pro/Am Division, Dr. Mark Van Hemert won 9 Gold Medals, Scott Weyer won 5 Gold Medals both dancing with instructor Arlene Hoiland. 
Hoiland was also presented with the Top Teacher award, she tells us a total of 24 medals were earned locally.
Competing in the Am/Am Division, was Mark Van Hemert with Margaret Sherwood, each receiving 1 Gold and 1 Silver Medal. Scott Weyer, with Mary Anne Bagwell won 2 Gold Medals, each, while dancing Am/Am, and with Roseann Carpenter, both took home a Gold Medal, each.
