Historical Seaport Preps For South Side Sail-A-Bration July 3-4

The main entrance to Seaport Landing is located at 500 N. Custer St., Aberdeen. Parking is available on site. The public is welcome to view the traditional SPLASH fireworks display from the Seaport Landing pier at no charge. Some seating is provided, though visitors should bring folding chairs and blankets. Portable toilet facilities are available. The public may also view the fireworks from the decks of Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain. For sailing tickets, call 800-200-5239, or purchase online at http://www.historicalseaport.org.

Seaport Landing and Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority needs volunteers to help GHHSA prepare for and staff the event, such as guiding guests to the fireworks viewing area. To volunteer, contact Roxie Underwood, 800-200-5239, [email protected].

Purchased earlier this year from the Weyerhaeuser Company, Seaport Landing will be a world-class mixed-use waterfront development that will embrace and reflect the rich history and character of Grays Harbor and the Olympic Peninsula. Visitors will learn about peninsula communities, recreational areas, the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, parks, and the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge, as well as other points of interest. GHHSA is currently working on a master plan for development of the site.
