ABERDEEN, Wash. – A Broadway Manor resident spent about 20 minutes trapped in an elevator near the third floor last night. Battalion Chief Bill Mayne with the Aberdeen Fire Department tells us the man was on his way to do laundry around 10:30 last night when the elevator stopped.
Fire crews were able to free the man from the elevator on the third floor around 11 last night, afterwards he opted to take the stairs down to the laundry room. Mayne said the department shut down one of the building’s two elevators until it could be inspected and cleared for operation.
