No Injuries From Early Morning Structure Fire in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Firefighters dowsed an unoccupied structure fire in the 900 block of East first street this morning, Battalion Chief Bill Mayne tells us crews forced entry on the first and second floors of the home to search for occupants, none were found. Mayne said the structure was full of smoke with flames visible on the first floor just after midnight this morning. E-911 received the call at 12:30, the fire was under control by 1:45, with crews on scene until just after 3 this morning.
22 firefighters total responded, including 2 from Hoquiam, Mayne said there were no reported injuries, and the home appeared to be a total loss, the origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
