Election results in Grays Harbor, Pacific and Mason counties show support for most local schools, and the continuation of EMS services in the McCleary area.
On the coast, Ocosta School District has a combined 69.75% YES vote from Grays Harbor and Pacific counties for a new school bond to replace the 1968 “round building.”
To the East, the Fire District 12 Ambulance & EMS Property Tax has strong support with 85% YES votes from a total of 406 ballots cast. An M&O school levy in Satsop is passing handily, and a multi-county bond for North Mason School is passing with 60% yes vote.
A Pacific and Wahkiakum county eleciton is failing their general obligation bond for the naselle, grays-river valley school district with a combined 55% no vote.
Grays Harbor County Auditor Vern Spatz tells us his department has processed all ballot received through Tuesday, “the only thing we have not looked at yet are any ballots that were in the dropbox at 8 o’clock, and I could just shake the box and tell there weren’t very many.” Spatz said election results will be certified on May 7th.
