Hoquiam Crime Watch Checking for Visible Addresses

HOQUIAM, Wash. – The City of Hoquiam has a new crime watch program, Police Chief Jeff Myers tells us their Senior Volunteers may contact you if they can’t find you “While they’re out and about, cruising the neighborhood, checking residences, and doing their patrols, if they see a residence that they can’t figure out what the address is because it’s not visible, they’ll leave one of these forms.” The two-sided form explains the importance of visible address numbers on your home, to not only law enforcement but emergency responders “Having your home easily visible, and identifiable for emergency vehicles is very important to the city, and it talks about city codes and site addresses.”
Myers said the group also purchased some reflective numbers for those that either rent, or cannot afford to install more visible numbers on their home.
