Pistol License Requests Forcing Change in Office Hours

MONTESANO, Wash. – Office hours are changing at the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s administration office, Sheriff Rick Scott tells us after budget and staffing cuts “We have seen a huge spike in concealed pistol license requests, we’ve been averaging on some days 15-20 per day, a few years ago we might do that many in a week. That’s put a big stress on our office staff.”

Effective March 1, the admin office will close one hour earlier Monday through Friday, Scott said the changes will not affect the corrections or criminal division.
