Apartment Fire Displaces 3 Families

ABERDEEN, Wash. – An early morning apartment fire displaced three families from a 4-plex on the Southside of Aberdeen. Batallion Chief Troy Palmer reported no injuries this morning, the fire was reported just after 3. Palmer said flames were climbing up the backside of the building when crews arrived just after 3. The Red Cross has been notified, and is assisting the displaced families. The cause of the fire in the 200 block of West Curtis street is being investigated this morning.

Six residents were displaced from three of the apartments as a result of the fire.  Red Cross was called to assist in finding temporary lodging for the tenants. The fire is currently under investigation by Assistant Chief Rich Malizia, and is undetermined at the time of this press release. The building sustained approximately $50,000 dollars in damages.
