Sea Scout Float Clips Mizzen Mast During Elks Grand Parade

ABERDEEN, Wash. – The Grays Harbor Sea Scouts are getting some time at the Historical Seaport, for repairs, Bruce Carley with the Scouts tells us in the final block of the Elks Grand Parade during Logger’s Playday, the mast of the Hewitt R. Jackson found the only low lying wire in Hoquiam, and the Mizzen mast broke on contact. – that didn’t stop the scouts from winning 1st place in the Jr Specialty category.
Carley said the guys at the seaport are looking into repairs, the Sea-Scouts will be offering free rides in the Jackson at the Watershed festival this Saturday starting at 11:00. – minus the mizzen mast.
