MARKHAM, Wash. – Kim Roberts has been appointed as an ambassador to Washington State’s Artist Trust Fund. Roberts is co-owner of Westport Winery—named Washington Winery to Watch by Wine Press Northwest—where she and her husband, Blain, have created an outdoor sculpture garden in collaboration with local artists to commemorate each of their 33 award-winning wines. A 1982 graduate of Washington State University’s School of Architecture with a minor in Fine Arts, Roberts is the former owner of Oceanic Art Gallery in Westport. Currently, Roberts serves on the Washington State Wine Commission and the Greater Grays Harbor Board of Directors.
Artist Trust is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and encourage individual artists working in all disciplines in order to enrich community life throughout Washington State. Artist Trust Ambassadors help to ensure that artists of all disciplines across Washington State get the resources they need to thrive. Roberts will help Washington’s coastal arts community by being a bridge to Artist Trust’s programs and services and by providing feedback to Artist Trust on how best to serve those artists.
