ABERDEEN, Wash. – Federal agents broke down the door of the wrong home yesterday in Grays Harbor County as the Drug Enforcement Agency and Border Patrol was assited by local authorities to serve several search warrants in the North and West ends of the county.
A woman in the home told us she was taking a shower when armed agents broke in and forced her outside in a bath robe. “They said they had a search warrant for the entire property, and that they have to check every out building to confirm that nobody’s in there.”
The woman later learned that the search warrant had a different address than her home, where she lives with her 2-year-old daughter and parents. Her broken door was replaced by Wednesday evening.
Drug Enforcement Administration spokeswoman Jodie Underwood says the raid was part of an operation with multiple agencies serving search warrants in Western Washington cities.
