According to the event’s organizers, “In 2011, a record 3,298 wines from 19 countries, 6 Canadian Provinces and all 50 United States were entered in the competition. More than 60 national and international judges representing sommeliers, educators, enologists, winemakers, writers, importers, retailers and industry consultants from the United States, Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Germany, Israel, and Italy.”
These two acclaimed wines along with Westport Winery’s other 31 award-winning releases are available for tasting daily. The winery is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Aberdeen and Westport.
The winery’s Farm to Fork restaurant is open for lunch daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (and until 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday). Dinner is offered on Friday and Saturday from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. and reservations are recommended.
