Aberdeen Police Seek Help in Murder Investigation

Person of Interest 2-11-12
On 2/11/12 at about 8:40 P.M.the Aberdeen Police Department responded to a man down in the 100 Block of North Jefferson Street who had suffered apparent stab wounds . The victim was treated and transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital by the Aberdeen Fire Department where he died while in surgery. The victim was identified as Raymundo Simon Navarrete, a 39 year old male who was living in Aberdeen and had family in the Shelton area. The victim was also known as Jose Alberto Guerrero Garcia.
The death was ruled a homicide and the criminal investigation has continued with Detective Dave Cox as the lead investigator.
During the investigation a person of interest was developed. While conducting additional interviews this person developed into a suspect as the person allegedly involved in the death of Mr. Navarrete.
On February 24th Detective Cox applied for and was granted a felony arrest warrant from Grays Harbor Superior Court for Murder in the Second Degree on:
Erick Ambrocio-Monzon, 30 years of age, also known as “El Grande.”
Described as a Hispanic male, 6,00 foot, 175 pounds, black hair, brown eyes.

The suspect should be considered dangerous. Citizens should not attempt to contact the suspect if he is seen. If a member of the public believes they see the suspect in this murder investigation they should call 911 as soon as it is safe to do so.
