Ocosta Senior Hopes to Fund Lunch Program

WESTPORT, Wash. – One student’s Senior project hopes to fund the summer lunch program at Ocosta School District.
Ian Karnas asked the Westport city council at this week’s meeting “I needed to make sure it was OK that I used [City] Park for my senior project. It’s a softball tournament that I’m doing to raise money to fund the summer lunch program at Ocosta.”
After addressing concerns over insurance, the council approved the request, Westport Mayor Michael Bruce asked if he could be involved in the opening ceremonies at city park, later this year.
