When officers arrived at the residence and knocked, they heard subjects inside running toward the back interior of the residence. After multiple attempts, the occupants continued to ignore the officers, even after being warned officers would force entry if necessary.
Officers forced the front door open and took the 24-year old resident into custody without incident. The man’s 26-year old girlfriend was arrested when it was discovered she had a felony warrant from the state Department of Corrections.
While inside the residence, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. They also noticed a motorcycle which returned as stolen from the Tacoma area.
Officers secured a search warrant and spent several hours at the scene securing evidence, including suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia and the stolen motorcycle. In addition to the outstanding warrants for charges already pending, the residents will also be submitted to the county prosecutor for felony drug charges.
