Hoquiam Could Extend Moratorium on Medical Marijuana Dispensories

HOQUIAM, Wash. – City council could extend Hoquiam’s moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries at their regular meeting on Monday. Hoquiam Police Chief Jeff Meyers tells us “Under federal law, there is no recognition, zero. Although some states including ours have made some provisions for it [medical marijuana]. The moratorium on the council meeting agenda for Monday is simply to extend what’s already in place.” Meyers said the moratorium buys the city time to figure out how to follow suit with state and federal regulations.
