Hoquiam Park To Get Makeover

HOQUIAM, Wash. – John Gable Park is getting a makeover, thanks to the Hoquiam Girls Fastpitch Association. City Administrator Brian Shay explained to the Council last week “they would like to put in an announcement booth, where the concession stand was, fencing, and they would like to pursue lights for night games. All of those things they would like to do at their own expense.” A Letter to the City from Michael Cummings, president of the Association, detailed goals for the park including more tournaments with lights to accomodate the later games.
