Standoff Ends Peacefully

HOQUIAM, Wash. – A Peaceful end this morning to an 8 hour standoff in Hoquiam, Police Chief Jeff Meyers tells us; “We spent a lot of time negotiating with the person he did not want to talk via phone, he was willing to text. In this case we had Officer Blundridge from our department had been talking with the suspect since about 4:30 this morning.”
Meyers tells us Hoquiam, Aberdeen, State, and County officers evacuated 10 homes this morning in the 2900 block of Aberdeen Avenue. After the man confronted officers responding to a domestic violence call with a handgun around 3 this morning.
