Hoquiam Man Barricades Self in Home, Prompts Road Closures

HOQUIAM, Wash. – Police have evacuated some homes this morning in the 2900 block of Aberdeen Avenue, behind Casa Mia. Police Chief Jeff Meyers tells us Hoquiam, Aberdeen, and County officers are negotiating with a male subject who has barricaded himself in his home, and is reportedly armed with a handgun. Hoquiam Schools and Grays Harbor Transit have been notified, children that normally catch the bus at 29th and Aberdeen are being advised by the district to wait one block up at 28th.
