Imperium Renewables to Receive Federal Money for Aviation Biofuel

HOQUIAM, Wash. – Imperium Renewables will be receiving up to $4 million dollars to further research on aviation biofuels. The US Department of Energy recently announced the selection of a partnership led by LanzaTech that included the Hoquiam based Company. CEO John Plaza said “This grant will help Imperium provide biofuels that will allow commercial airlines and the DOD to become less reliant on foreign fuel.” The consortium also includes Boing, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and others.
