Assault Near Raymond

RAYMOND, Wash. – The victim of an assault this morning fired a shot at her attacker. The Pacific County Sheriff’s Department reports around 5:30 the victim was stabbed while walking her dog near her home off of State Route 6 two miles east of Raymond. Sheriff Scott Johnson said before the suspect left, the victim reportedly fired a handgun at him. The case remains under investigation, after further investigation, the report of a home invasion was false. Johnson advised residents to keep doors and windows secured and call 911 if they observe suspicious activity.
