Timberland Agrees to Move Forward With Hoquiam Annexation

HOQUIAM, Wash. – The Timberland Regional Library Board of Trustees passed a motion unanymously today to annex Hoquiam’s library. Business Manager Rick Homechick explained Hoquiam’s adoption of the ordinance making the request “the vote was 7 to 4, the council members who did vote against the ordinance were concerned about public participation and giving up control of the library.”
With concurrence by the Board of Trustees, The Grays Harbor county Commissioners can now add the vote to the November Ballot.
