Wolf Plan Criticized

OLYMPIA, Wash. – After their August Commission meeting, the Department of Fish and Wildlife has released a final Gray Wolf plan, Wildlife Biologist Jack Smith says that plan looks bad for hunters “I know from my history working with elk on the Peninsula that wolves, if established here, and if not managed, the entire harvest-able surplus of elk would go to wolves I’m convinced of that.”
The Wildlife Commission will review and decide on the plan by the end of the year.
