Grays Harbor Brown Bags A Budget Meeting

MONTESANO, Wash. – The Grays Harbor County Commissioners yesterday talked budget, and came out of a brown bag meeting 3/4 of a million dollars in the red. County Commissioner Terry Willis said they faced a laundry list of down revenue; “some of those revenues are not coming in as strong as we wanted them to so, rather than wait until the end of the year and find that we’ve dug ourselves into a big hole that we’d have troubles getting out of, we’re taking a proactive approach to this.”
Along with over 350 thousand less revenue, the county absorbed unfunded salaries from the Sheriff’s Department, and over 350 thousand dollars in increased expenditures.
