Hoquiam Has High Hopes to Recycle Recycled Paper Mill

HOQUIAM, Wash. – City officials have high hopes of recycling Hoquiam’s Shuttered Paper Mill sooner rather than later. City Administrator Brian Shay tells us; “It is my understanding that there are some interested parties, that have talked to the receiver, that have shown interest in the mill. Certainly I’m very optimistic, I really see that site being operational within the next year.”
The city plans to loose about $200 thousand in general fund revenues this year, and almost 500 thousand annually from the closure of Grays Harbor Paper.
