Man Bursts Into Home Carrying Dead Weasel, Assaults Another

HOQUIAM, Wash. – Police have a man in custody on various charges, but might not quite know how to word assault while carrying a dead animal. Monday night a 41 year old Hoquiam man reported he was at a friends house in the 1000 block of Division when the suspect burst through the front door carrying a dead martin, broke the victim’s nose, then fled in a sport utility vehicle. While taking the victim’s report, officers were called up the street to an argument between the same suspect and his girlfriend, also the victim’s ex-girlfriend. The 33 year old Hoquiam man was taken into custody after several attempts to fight officers, and arrested on burglary and felony assault charges.
