Burglary Interrupted in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a burglary suspect who was interrupted when the home he was in happened to be occupied. On 12/14/10 at about 1140 pm, Aberdeen police officers responded to a possible interrupted burglary that had just occurred in the 300 block of Park St.  The female resident told officers that she was in her bedroom when she heard the front door open.  She said she thought she had locked the door.  When she went to the front room she saw a male subject standing inside the house. She said she did not know the man and yelled at him.  The suspect pushed pass the female, knocking her to the ground, as he fled out the front door.

Responding officers were assisted by a deputy from the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office and a K-9 handler from the Hoquiam Police Department.  A male subject was located walking away from the area of the incident but was not identified.  That male was arrested on an unrelated Aberdeen Municipal Court arrest warrant.

The suspect was described as a white male, around 35 years old, 5-8 to 6-2, black hair and a black mustache with bushy eyebrows.  He was described as wearing a blue sweatshirt with a hood, dark blue sweat pants, possibly black or blue tennis shoes.  The victim said when she saw him in her house his hair and clothing was wet.
