Annual Audit Warns Oakville Government, Applauds Shelton

OAKVILLE, Wash. – A recent Audit of the City of Oakville had no findings, but did note certain matters that were communicated to City Management. The annual report by the State Auditor’s office said in most areas the City complied with state laws and regulations in their 2009 audit. Oakville had received findings in 2006 and 2007 over financial concerns.
For the 14 consecutive year, the city of Shelton was free of findings by the State Auditor’s Office. The independent accountability audits are conducted annually to review city and county government financial policies and procedures.
