Elma Teenager Hit While Jogging, Fears Intentional

ELMA, Wash. – The Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle that may have not only intentionally run over someone, but turned around and attempted to hit the person again. At around 4:38 pm Wednesday, Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1200 block of Monte Elma Road, just West of the Elma Elementary School, regarding a 15 year old female who had been struck by a vehicle while running on the shoulder of the roadway. The girl was a Cross Country Student for Elma High School and had been running west bound on the south side of the road when struck by a vehicle.  The girl reported that the vehicle then turned around and came toward her again.  The vehicle was described as a bright red passenger car, possibly with multiple occupants, and fled the scene eastbound toward the City of Elma.  The girl received minor injuries.
