Attempted Luring Incident near Aberdeen High School

ABERDEEN, Wash. – The Aberdeen Police Department is currently investigating an incident regarding an attempted luring of a 17-year-old female. This incident occurred Wednesday at about 9:00am near the Aberdeen High School. A gold colored 2005 Honda Civic 4-dr style vehicle was reportedly observed in the area Tuesday, and was believed to have been watching female students while they practiced soccer. The incident was not reported to police at that time.

The student athletes observed this same vehicle again in the area of the high school Wednesday. As the group of students began their run, the victim stayed behind preparing to catch up with the group. The described vehicle approached the victim and demanded that she enter the vehicle. The victim then ran away and the vehicle fled the location.

The Aberdeen Police Department reports there were two people believed to have been in the vehicle. The driver is described as a darker complected male, about 20-30 years of age, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt which was covering his head. The passenger could not be described.
