The City of Hoquiam has received a $10,000 grant to conduct a study to determine the boundaries of a potential historic district in downtown. We have enlisted the help of BOLA Architecture to help us study this area. We are very excited about the amount of historic resources we have in downtown and believe this will be a beneficial project for property owners, as well as a boost to heritage tourism in our City. This is also an important next step in Hometown Hoquiam.
On April 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. we will be holding a planning meeting at the Polson Museum, and we would like to hear from you directly. This will be an upbeat, exciting meeting where we hope to learn more about the historic resources in downtown. If you have any information to share with the planning team, or would just like to learn more, please attend this important workshop.
If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to learn more or have questions, please contact Alissa Thurman at (360) 532-5700 ext. 211 or [email protected].
